Hello, everyone! We hope you had a really great day so far. We surely did. We had good beer, listened to great talks, and talked to amazing people. We have the honor to do the last talk for today. We're super excited to be here, but we're also really looking forward to the after party. So let's get over with it. First of all, we'd like to thank the whole One Day Out crew for having us. They did an amazing job. We'd also like to thank our fan club from Berlin. They're sitting right there. Who came all the way from from Berlin to make fun of our broken English. If you see them at the after party, be sure to give them a big high five from us. So this is our very first talk ever. We're super stoked about it, but we're also pretty nervous. So there might be a few words you won't understand, but we'll do our best to give you a talk to enjoy. At least our selection of GIFs is top notch. If you have something to say or some feedback for us, please don't tell us today. We want to have a great evening. But there are two ways you could contact us tomorrow on Facebook and on Twitter. For those of you who don't know us, you might just be interested in who's talking to you. We are Thomas and Matthias, both founders and art directors at Wild. Wild is a digital production agency in Vienna. And Vienna, by the way, is again the most livable city in the world. So you definitely need to pay us a visit. And if you do so, there are two really important things to do. First of all, eat a Kasergräina. Kasergräina are very delicious sausages filled with cheese. And you have to pay us a visit in our office. We always have cold beer, good coffee, and a rooftop. And we're always excited to have new people around. So just to have an icebreaker for the after party, there are two random facts about each one of us. Fact number one is that Thomas was a newspaper carrier for one night. And fact number two is that Matthias... that Matthias puts hot sauce on nearly everything. But yeah, enough with the personal stuff. For those who don't know who we are, we put together a really short and really unprofessional video yesterday. We just punched in everything we had on our computer about us. But yeah, see for yourself. Oh, Gigi. Fuckin' OGG. OGG. OGG. Hey, bro. I mean, you don't think that nigga really get no money, right? I mean, he ain't really fuckin' home, right? Well, damn. Bitch, you guessed it! You was right. Bitch, you guessed it! Come on, come on! Fuck, nigga, I'm sorry. Bitch, you guessed it! Still in that place and I'm flexin'. Woo! Bitch, you guessed it! I'm still with my niggas! Come in Texas. OGG. Bitch, you guessed it! Walking around with extra in my pockets. Bitch, you next to us. Thanks. So yeah, just some impressions about what and the stuff we do. So you might ask who we are and why are we here. Everything started about, yeah, it was early this year, I think, when Casper, who's one of the hosts, you might have seen him today, he's one of the hosts, he just contacted us out of the blue and he asked us, we don't know why, but he asked us if we want to be on stage and have a talk in front of a theater full of people. And yeah, we put some thoughts in it, which took us about two or three seconds, and yeah, we responded with a very confident yes, like it was normal for us to speak in front of hundreds of people, in front of hundreds of like-minded people. And our account, I always forget this slide, our account from zero talks down is now at one talk. Yeah, we said yes, but we had no idea what we should talk about or an idea where this would lead us, but we had many ideas what we shouldn't talk about. So we went through the classics and we thought about, should we do a classic portfolio presentation? Yeah, maybe not because, yeah, you can look this up on Behance and Stribl and stuff and all these other networks, or you follow us on Facebook and Twitter where we tweet everything we do. The second thought was, should we tell you something about our side projects? Oh, no, maybe not because a friend of us already is having this talk about side projects. Should we go in a more technical direction and show you how we use Photoshop or how we can make some tricks in Photoshop or do any other apps? Yeah, maybe this is not good at all, so that's what YouTube's stories are for, I guess. And the last thing was, we can show you how sex will look in Speedos, but yeah, I can imagine you know how this looks like. So we definitely had a hard time on finding a topic for this talk. So we asked everyone in the office to write down some words on the list. We asked them to write something on the list which maybe could result in a talk which doesn't leave you in a state of total depression and let you regret spending this 30 or 40 minutes with us two in one room. So that's obviously a list we faked yesterday. But it was similar to this one, just online in a Google Doc. Yeah, they were mainly bullshit. And yeah, we wanted to give you something along, something that sticks with you. Hello, hello. So as Thomas told you already, there was a lot of nonsense on that list, but also a few things we considered to talk about. The first idea for this talk was to tell you how Wild came together, how we found each other. So it basically all started with Wild Dribble was still a new thing. Okay, I'll switch the slide. So Wild Dribble was still a new thing and everyone was doing meetups in their cities. And together with Tobias von Schneider, I decided to do a Dribble meetup in Vienna too. There were about 10 people at the first meetup, which was pretty interesting to see all the people you barely know from the internet. And because it was so funny and interesting, we decided to do another one. And that was the meetup when I met Thomas and the other Thomas, the two Thomas's at Wild, for the first time. We were all freelancing at this time and the two Thomas's had an office together. I was working from home and I was feeling pretty lonely. And together with a friend of mine, I decided to move in with the Thomas's. So without making it too complicated, there were a lot of people moving into the office and a lot of people moving out again every two or three months. The only people who stayed there were Thomas, Thomas and me. So long story short, we somehow met another Thomas. Yes, there are three Thomas's at Wild. And we started doing projects together and decided to found an agency. So it's maybe interesting for you guys, but nothing worth a whole talk. So the next thing we considered talking about is how we prepared our bodies for this talk. So we were sure that our biceps and abs needed some work to look good on stage. And as you can see, we definitely needed some training. Unfortunately, pizza, beer and Mannerschnitten are way too good. So that topic was off the table too. The next thing we considered talking about was that I finished an Ironman. Thanks. So just to give you a little backstory about it and maybe you'll get motivated to do one too. For those of you who don't know, an Ironman is a 3.8 kilometer swim, 180 kilometer bike ride. I told you that the chips are funny. And a marathon at the end of it. So everything started with me chilling on my couch, having my sixth Red Bull of the day. I was addicted to that stuff at this time. So I was chilling on my couch and watching this German TV show called Stern TV. Stern TV followed three people on their journey to become an Ironman. One of them was a heavy smoker. Another one was overweight. And the third one was a mother of five children. So they followed them for around a year or so. And they trained nearly every day. A swim session at five in the morning just to get some training done before work. Short bike ride or run after work. And a long distance ride on weekends. So they followed them for a year and then there was this Ironman. And the thing that impressed me most was the mother of five children who finished the Ironman in barely under 17 hours. And in a way... Exactly. And she listened to just one song for the whole marathon. So just one song for five or six hours. And in a way I really liked the craziness in that. And yeah. I started training the next day and finished my first Ironman about one and a half years later. That's me. And the finish took me about, or exactly, 12 hours and 30 minutes. So the thing with this topic is that I don't want to brag about myself. So this was off the table too. So the next idea we had for this talk was to make it a little bit more funny and let our grandmothers speak for us. Maybe they have some good advice for you. Unfortunately we ended up doing Snapchats with them. So yeah. Can I have the microphone? Okay. So yeah, enough with the grandma stuff. The next thing we considered talking about was Mein Honig. This is a personal project I did about three or four years ago, which is about honey. Honig is honey in German. And this whole project started one day when David, who's one... I've never met him before. He was a complete stranger. And he was a friend of a friend. And he came to me and asked me if I can make a label for him for his honey. He's harvesting on the countryside in Austria. So at this time I was studying and I needed a topic for my diploma. It was a good timing actually. So I asked a friend of mine, whose name is Thomas as well, and he's in... on Friday he's always here in our office. There's a bit of Thomas overload. And I asked him if he can help me because he was a copywriter and strategist. And we formed this little team. And we made David this offer. David is the beekeeper. We asked him... we made him this offer. We make a complete corporate identity for you with everything you need, with everything you can imagine. And you have to pay nothing. And of course David was stoked about it and he said, yeah, fuck yeah, let's do this. And then we started to do this whole project. And the final result was this. It's a whole corporate design and the identity around it. We worked with many natural products, materials, and honey is a really cool product. You all should buy. And yeah, that's what it looks like. And that's David. That's him while beekeeping. And yeah, I bought a close-up from the bees. So it's now three or four years later and the three of us, we are a really good friendship, a really good friendship evolved out of this just because he came to us and wanted this label. And every couple of weeks I get together with Thomas and we get in the car or in the train and we visit David and help him with the beekeeping and stuff. And yeah, visit all the animals he got. He has this fancy farm with donkeys and pigs and fishes and cats and ducks and everything a man needs. But just a reminder for you, if you ever want to make photos of bees and you make a close-up like I did before, you should consider to wear protection unless you want to look like this. This by the way was the most embarrassing train ride I've ever had. And yeah, I lost my sunglasses one day before. So yeah, that's about Menhorik. But we don't really want to talk about Menhorik. We just put it in there because we wanted to show this photo and see your reaction. So the next thing we thought about was, should we tell you how we teach Henry? Henry is our office dog. How we teach him to be a bee holder while we are having a meeting. Which looks like this. But yeah, there's not much to talk about because he's a natural. You can see it. The list of things we want to talk about or don't want to talk about was getting smaller and smaller. The last thing was Send a Message. Send a Message is this site project. It started with a thought I had in the subway. At the start, wouldn't it be great when you visit a site, a website, and you just see a fist. And then you scroll down, and it shows the milfing and says, just fuck you. That would be great, right? So on the next day, the four of us got together and we spoke about this idea. And yeah, we just, on the very same day, we started to make some photos of hands. And the development guys, they put together a prototype in this one day. And we spent the rest of the week with adding some more gestures because we wanted to make it a bit more family friendly. And we put the website online, and that's what it looks like. You can visit it too. You go on the website and you see the fist. Then you scroll down and it says, just fuck you. And then, of course, you want to send it to your friends. So you press on send it to my friends. You choose another gesture, or fuck your gesture. Put in the text you want to send it to. You copy the link. The guy on the other end gets the link, and he scrolls down. And then there is Yurok, when they are out crew. So that's about send a message. But yeah, and the next day, we pushed it online after this week. And we made a Twitter post and a Facebook post and put it on some boards. And on the next day, everything went crazy. We watched the analytics and overnight we had about 100K visitors. And everything went on for the next, I don't know, I guess two weeks. Until now there were about, I think, two and a half million gestures were sent to all the friends and enemies and families. Yeah. And as you can imagine, the most used gesture, of course, because everybody loves to hate, was fuck you. It was about 75%, I think. But yeah, send a message was a side project. And we didn't want to talk about side projects in the first place. So yeah, let's leave it here. So you might think, why are these guys staying in front of you and are talking about stuff they don't really want to talk about. When you see everything, every single one of these things we told you before had this point where someone of us got up his ass and just started to do something. So yeah, for example, the Dribble Meetup, Matthias told you about, this need of meeting this like-minded people, it evolved into an agency. Everybody loves to work there and you work every day with lovely people and love to go there in the morning. The Ironman, for example, it started with this TV show and the first step on the next day. And yeah, now, just look at him. Isn't he beautiful? And Mein Honeck started with this guy just coming to me. I didn't know him, he asked about this label. And now we have this amazing friendship and a really cool product everybody loves which got featured in many magazines and blogs. And then there's Send a Message, which started with this part in the train and now we got some fancy projects afterwards. So of course we want to tell you something with this talk. If you're having no community and feeling alone all the time, start one. Maybe organize an event like the one the Outcrew did. If you're fat or feeling unhealthy, start moving. Maybe you'll do an Ironman one day. If you feel alone at work, start a company. Maybe you'll find your next co-founder at the after party. So enough with the motivation shit. We also have four wild tips to start something. First tip is break up with your boy or girlfriend. Of course, we're just kidding. We don't want you to feel alone. It's more like a metaphor. Quit something that holds you back. Quit something that holds you back or makes you feel bad. Maybe it's just the old pair of sneakers with which you landed your first kickflip or the old hipster camera you haven't used for years which you've just kept because it seems cool. Get rid of it and make place for new things. And... The second tip is be the last one leaving the after party later. But of course, not fully drunk, waking up the next morning with all your memories erased of this day and next to a random stranger you've never met and this slightly itched down there maybe. Use this conference and especially the after party to connect with all the people and talk to all the like-minded and this interesting people here. Because you don't know, maybe you can find your next BFF here. And if you're not that much of a talker, just enjoy the party or get drunk or go home or start something. So the third tip is to be more like her. Enjoy the moment. Maybe you'll notice things that will lead you to the next big thing. And the last tip is... Stop constantly talking about stuff you will do or what will happen when you do it and how good everything will be if you do this or that. Stop making excuses like we all know. We used back in the days at school, like, I don't have enough time, it's too hard. I'm waiting for the right inspiration. I don't have enough money, I'm too old. I'm not gifted. And just stop with making these excuses. And yeah, just start to do something. And we put a website together for you, which is just start something today. And maybe you get some inspiration out of this. You can visit it on your phones. And then you get a random message for you. And then, yeah, you should start something. Maybe not today, but tomorrow. So yeah. Thanks, that was our talk. And then I guess we will start this cold beer. So let's see at the after party and enjoy the night.
