I'm a speaker in many universities, conferences from Hong Kong to Dubai to London.
And it's also a pleasure to be in Amsterdam.
I haven't been speaking in Amsterdam now for about two years.
So it was very nice to have that invitation and the city is just as beautiful, even probably
better than it was in the past.
So nice time to be here.
So that's great.
I want to ask you a little bit into what you've been talking about.
So what was the topic of your talk and what is the key takeaways that you want to give
all the viewers?
I was telling how innovations contribute to our Baltic business and continued profitability.
And my message to the team here today was, hey, guys, don't be afraid of experimenting
with innovations.
Some of them will be high flyers.
Some of them will fail, but you really have to have that innovation culture in your DNA
in each and every employee of your company.
Then you can be successful.
Then you can punch above it's above your weight.
Because I've got this question asked very often.
They asked Yanis, how comes in this small country of Latvia, you have created an airline
that is five times bigger than it should be for the small market?
How come you have these many destinations from out of Riga, Tallinn, and Vilnius?
Look at Amsterdam.
Out of Amsterdam, you can fly to Baltic region four times a day.
And this is not the case with all regions in Central and Eastern Europe.
So we've done a great job at actually innovating our product, innovating our business is a
key element in that success.
So a last question.
Of course, now we are standing here on video.
I'm going to ask a little bit into this thing called moving images.
How are you in AirBaltic using video and planning to use video in the future?
Oh, we are actually using it very extensively.
I was using one of the videos here in the presentation.
Two days ago, AirBaltic became again world's first airline to have the live video session
from our route opening.
So we started a brand new route between Reykjavik and Riga.
In half an hour, we reached 60,000 people via Facebook because we started a live concert
by a very famous musician who was giving that concert exclusively to AirBaltic Facebook
followers before he enters a big stadium concert.
So it was very nice and we tried to play around things, be it video, be it social networks,
be it anything else, be it for example Europe's first green flights for turboprops, and just
about anything.
That's part of our DNA.
We try to do things differently and we are very happy that a large proportion of these
initiatives are a success and they contribute to our profitability.
So thank you.
I know you need to catch an airplane.
So all of you go.
Okay, thank you so much.
