GoAnimate's Stacy Adams on how to take full advantage of video

View transcript

One of the things that we really advocate at GoAnimate is using a terrific hosting platform that has metrics built in. One of the things that I think a lot of marketers do is rely on free channels like YouTube or Vimeo to run their videos. They put videos on social media and it's very difficult to track within that video really solid analytics. You can get play count and how many people have watched your video or shared your video. So for brand awareness, I think that that's great. If that's what you're after, you want your message to go viral and be shared, then those metrics work. But if you really want to find out the impact and engagement of your content, you really need to look at how many people are watching the entire video. Where are they dropping off within the video? So in video analytics, in video data capture, those types of things are important. So we advocate working with a good hosting platform to do that.
