Please find yourself a seat and I hope you all are
ready for Town Hall number 9. Can we hear some noise?
Yes. Okay.
Please join me in welcoming Christoffer,
Head of Copenhagen for the win on stage.
Hello there.
I'm so happy to see so many of you here.
This is quite impressive.
We're a thousand people in a room.
This is the biggest Copenhagen for the win Town Hall to date.
And on top of that is in the middle of Copenhagen Tech Fest,
which you might have heard of,
where all of Copenhagen is celebrating technology.
But tonight,
we're going to celebrate the tech stars.
These Town Hall events are all about promoting,
highlighting the best and the hottest tech startups in Denmark.
So we have 17 tech startups on stage for you tonight.
And on top of that,
we have Mr. Robert Scoble,
who needs no further introduction,
I believe.
He's Mr. Silicon Valley,
a tech guru,
who's interviewed above and beyond a
thousand tech companies all over the world.
Very happy about that.
But I want to tell you a little story.
Four months ago, a bunch of Copenhagen tech,
Copenhagen for the win people got in a room
and decided we should do a technology festival
to promote all the great things
happening within tech here in Copenhagen.
And to celebrate all the conferences and meetups.
We've made a little something I want to show you first.
This day is Extension Day.
I am Colinスвин
Thanks' great day to you now.
And let me introduce you to someone I've been
working closely with the last four months,
who's been working her ass off making Copenhagen TechFest
to a tech festival.
That is now up and running.
Please welcome the festival director of Copenhagen TechFest,
Marie Garviel.
Thank you, thank you, thank you.
So, here's the story with Copenhagen TechFest.
A few months ago,
a group of people from Copenhagen for the Win
and some of the largest startups in
this city got together and thought,
hmm, what if we did a major change?
A little bit like a festival.
What if we created this event that would
put the best of Danish tech on the map?
Not just the big startups,
but also the future stars
and the good ideas that are brewing at every meetup
and every co-working space in this town.
What if we made an event that would
make people without the tech hoodie
actually think about how technology affects their everyday life?
What if someone did a festival that,
just like Copenhagen Fashion Week
has done major for the Danish fashion brands,
could do that for Danish tech?
What if?
Well, folks, that is not just an idea anymore.
It's happening,
and it's happening right now,
this month,
all around you.
With Copenhagen TechFest,
we have invited tech organizers from startups,
from organizations, from museums,
from media, from all over town
to come together with their best tech events.
And the result
is a month-long program.
Right now,
more than 35 events are going on all over town
in more than 20 venues.
When we're done, September 30th,
more than 10,000 guests will be seeing these events.
And we're only halfway through.
I mean, it's only September 15th.
So we got 22 events.
We got 22 more events coming up in VR,
in gaming,
in coding,
in design.
We got talks about shitstorms.
We got talks about how to do the best Kickstarter event.
We even got,
and I think this might be my favorite,
we even got the tax authorities to come talk about
how they can promote their organization digitally.
I think for anyone who's been following the news lately,
that's going to be interesting.
And all of this really is happening
because of some great event organizers
that in very little time got together
and pitched in their best events for this program.
A lot of you guys are here tonight,
and you are really the rock stars of Copenhagen Tech Fest.
I'm just a messenger, boys.
You guys did this.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So this is year one,
and we'll do it as bright and shiny as we possibly can.
But next year,
we're going to do it even bigger and louder.
So me standing here tonight is not just to encourage you
to go see the remaining 22 events.
Me standing here is actually to put you guys to work.
You should go back to your startups,
your co-founders,
your co-workers,
your girlfriends,
your tech friends,
your in-laws,
for all I care,
and create the best possible tech event.
And when you've done so,
you should call us at Tech Fest,
and we're going to help you get it done,
put it in the program,
and push it out to the world.
We might not be the biggest town on the planet,
and we might not be the biggest tech community on the planet,
but if we come together,
we can make noise enough
for the world to listen in,
and that's the idea of Tech Fest.
So big invitation for you guys to go and put on your best show,
and call me when you've done.
Yeah.
I am here for the rest of the night,
looking forward to talk to you,
looking forward to see you at the remaining 22 events.
You can find them on our website,
copenhagentechfest.org,
and I'm looking forward to hear from you on our hashtag,
CBH Tech Fest.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thanks, Marie.
Thanks, Snow.
Now moving on with the show,
we have some very nice startups for you.
As you know,
the Copenhagen and Danish tech startup scene is hotter than...
