Copenhagen for the win and Copenhagen TechFest love conferences.
And we have two of the biggest conferences
in the month of September here for you.
And first up,
I would like to introduce you to CopenhX,
which is a brand new conference.
It had its premiere day today and it is by the good
graces of the people behind CopenhX that we actually
were able to present Robert Skolbo for you here.
So,
please welcome a very good friend of
Copenhagen for the win and Copenhagen TechFest,
Terkel from CopenhX.
Thank you, Christoffer.
We just started CopenhX today.
And CopenhX is a new conference regarding VR and mixed reality.
And we have 200 people together today at Papierhallen.
So,
we invited some of the great international experts in the field,
Robert Skolbo and a doctor called Safia Ahmed,
telling about how to use virtual reality
in educating doctors around the world.
And we gathered a lot of international experts,
but also a lot of Danish startups and experts.
We had great companies like the Eye Tribe
and Kenda telling about their projects.
And we started today with speakers and tomorrow we
have workshops where everybody can try VR themselves.
We have an introduction to Unity tomorrow morning.
And in the weekend,
everybody can come and try VR and AR activities themselves.
So,
we are CopenhX and we are looking forward to...
Hopefully,
we are coming back next year and make it even bigger.
And we would like to work together with Christoffer and the
rest of the team to make it a great conference in Copenhagen.

So,
apart from my night job at TechBBQ and the steering committee,
which I have the honor of being a part of,
I'm also a co-founder of a technology company called QIT.
And the reason I tell you this is not
to give you the full story about QIT.
We can take that another day.
But the reason I'm telling you this is because when we started QIT,
my two co-founders,
Nils and Martin,
and myself,
back in 2010,
we were having an experience of having a really tough
time finding our peers in this tech startup community.
So,
the only events that would bring everyone together
would be investor pitching type arrangements.
And if you're not in that mode,
searching for funding,
and also kind of a different setup where
you're sort of competing with everyone,
it just doesn't provide the right setting for getting the community
together and sharing experiences and meeting everyone eye to eye.
So,
the first TechBBQ that I attended was the first one four years ago.
And that was my first experience of really bringing the
community together with a different agenda than the funding,
which was fantastic.
So,
back then,
it was 300 people, which was amazing.
It was 300 people,
which was an amazing number at that time.
It was startups,
it was investors,
it was angels,
VCs,
everyone in the community coming together to
celebrate and learn from each other's failures,
sharing those openly.
And this has grown significantly.
And next year,
we had 600 people following your 1,100.
And this year, we're up to 1,700 tickets.
So, how many are going?
Yay!
And for the rest of you,
that sucks because it is sold out.
Now, one more thing.
You promised me 30 seconds.
So,
we haven't seen too many ladies on stage today.
That is bad.
So,
those of you out there,
I see you with your pretty dresses
and long hair and fantastic ambitions.
