Next up we have Rasmus from Dixie.
Hello, hello.
Good evening everyone.
My name is Rasmus.
I'm the co-founder and CEO of Dixie.
And Dixie,
we're a service for everything that's bookkeeping,
payroll,
and VAT.
We've gathered it all in one smart online service.
What we're dealing with and helping companies
with is actually the stuff that everybody hates,
but nobody really wants to do,
and everybody has to do it.
The first time I tried something that was extremely annoying,
but I had to do,
was bookkeeping.
And I tried it in a multi-billion dollar
business that I can't say the name of.
But their logo is a fruit that is not a banana or an orange,
but I think you get the point.
And what I did there,
when I had to file expenses for a bookkeeper,
was I had to glue on the back side,
the back side of receipts,
and kind of play Receipt Tetris on a piece of A4 paper,
which I then feed into a 200,000 kroner photocopier.
Then I'd send a digital copy to Ireland,
and send a physical copy with the mail to Bulgaria.
And what often happened was that the glue
got stuck in the drums in this photocopier.
And that was very expensive equipment,
so that almost got me fired a few times.
However, that was in a million dollars.
When we've been building Dixie,
and we've been live for more than a year now,
we've seen that there's a lot of problems for smaller businesses,
medium-sized businesses,
and startups,
like many of you guys who are actually present here tonight.
And we primarily see companies struggle
with things that fall into three categories.
So first of all,
companies end up spending a lot of time on low-level tasks,
on important stuff that doesn't really help growing your business,
like,
for instance,
receipt hunting,
or pretending to be a bookkeeper,
and pretending you know debit from credit.
Like, stuff that you shouldn't really be doing.
You should be growing your business and getting new customers.
Secondly,
we see that companies,
they struggle with getting a structure.
They don't have the resources of larger companies,
so they kind of have to invent their own infrastructure.
Find something that works for them.
But even if you get help from a traditional freelance bookkeeper,
you still have a lot of systems,
it's all scattered,
it's unstructured by default,
and it's very prone to breaking.
And then finally,
companies,
small businesses,
they are limiting their own growth
because they don't know what's going on in the business.
It's like driving a car,
you're looking in the rearview mirror,
everything that happens,
happens six months later.
And it's really hard to do something about
something that happened six months ago.
You kind of want to know it now.
That's what we're solving with Dixie.
So first of all,
we're taking care of all your low-level tasks.
We're taking all the shit for you.
And you get a dedicated contact person and a bookkeeper at Dixie
who's there to learn about your business.
Secondly,
we've gathered everything in a single platform
so that you have one
pre-structured place for everything you need in your back office.
And then finally,
we actually give you a solid foundation
for making smart business decisions
by providing you with monthly insightful financials.
Our vision is basically this.
We want Dixie to become a back office as a service.
So you just sign up and all this crap is taken care of
in a modern way that you expect from companies like your own.
We recently just raised 10 million
kroners to make this vision a reality.
And we're happy to say that we actually
have customers in this room tonight.
Good to see you guys.
And we'd love to learn more about your
companies and the struggles you have
and see if Dixie can help you.
So you can find us.
And as long as we're in our super original one-colored,
fleshy startup T-shirts
with like a logo on the chest like nobody else has,
we'll probably be hanging out in the bar.
So search for Purple and I'll be
looking forward to talking to you guys.
Good night.
