Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. The Minister of Culture is not in the hall yet. The Minister of Culture is on the roundabout with the royal family. In the program you will see, we have Sven Petersen and Radio Director Axel Dahlrup and next to him in the Radio Council, Herr Konstantin Rupp, standing on the transition between the audience, the side and the tribune. And I would like to say, before we start, a little about the show, the program we will see. You will notice that down on the stage there is a decoration, and there is 1950. In 1950, the television began its first spade step. The decoration that is here is identical to the decoration that was in the studio in Forum in 1950 for the radio show, and from where the first actual broadcast was made. It was Margrethe Schjerne who danced that time, and Margrethe Schjerne will also dance now here today. The same thing as she danced Lombø's Kolumbine Polka Masurka. The program out here today is built up over ballet, acting, reportage. Ballet music is exclusively Lombø. They will certainly be recognized, partly for, as mentioned before, Lombø's Kolumbine Polka Masurka, for the Amelie-settlement, the Livjægerne on Amager and so on. And then the round trip for the royal family passes. Here comes the king, accompanied by the Minister of Culture, followed by the queen. The king greets Director Dahlrup. The queen. The queen. The queen. The queen. The queen. The queen. And with her follows, the king showers Olaf Jensen. And this lady is a commander, Magne Paulsen. And they look at the queue behind the royal family. The TV director sits here. It's ten hours. And then the performance begins. We're starting the live stream, so we're not running my microphone on. In a little while, we also have a couple hundred people in Aarhus who are watching live, and we're not doing all of that. So we hope we get a good show. It's a studio production here, so you can get a little bit of talking to people. So I think we're starting now. Are you ready? Yes! Here we go. Here we go. Here we go. Here we go. But first, a little update on 23 and 23 Video. At 23, we build visual tools to empower communicators and marketers. As I said, we got started back in 2005, just when the visual web was coming about, when it started from being a textual medium going to a visual medium. Today, more than 40% of what people share on Twitter and Facebook are visual. Photos and images. Back then, that was a crazy idea to imagine, when we were playing with and hacking scripts and iPhones, or camera phones, to get it all online. So we really now live in a visual world, at least personally, in our personal lives, and our companies are struggling to catch on to that also. Because the challenge for organization is to reinvent, as we've been working with for a long time now. That we have this huge paradigm of shifting from the old way of the textual communication to visual. And the challenge really is to reinvent everything you do, and bring that forward. And that's really happening now. Since we launched 23 Video, we see more and more organizations and businesses really starting to use a lot of video. Most of our customers with 23 Video have hundreds of videos. Video has shifted from being the corporate video that you did every day, or the video that you did every few years, or the annual event that you videotaped. Video is now used for everything, and across all the customers, we every day are amazed by all the new exciting things that people do. We are happy to announce today that we are powering more than 350 customers, a lot of them with a lot of video websites and a lot of stuff they're doing with video. And every day we're amazed by the innovation and reinvention that's happening with all of them. At 23, we're a little over 30 people now. And recently, as some of you might have joined, we had a big launch of our new house, our HQ, by the lakes of Copenhagen. The 23 House, as we call it. So that's where we are on 23. A little update on what's happening with 23 Video, and sort of the baseline for what we're going to talk about today. 23 Video is today really how businesses and organizations do video. People are putting videos back on their websites, away from the social platforms they started with, and really getting all the content for content marketing and communication back on their websites. So the core of 23 Video is the ability to easily put a video section on an existing website, do a whole new website, or an internal website that's closed off for internal communication or a closed group of people. So our DNA is really in building the web experience around the video, not only the video. Another really important element in 23 Video and video today is social. Video has shifted from being one platform, one social platform, YouTube, to being native on all platforms. Marketers and communicators today don't just push their videos to YouTube. They have them on their own website. They have them on Twitter with native video, Facebook with native video, Instagram with native video, and YouTube. And this is obviously a huge challenge nowadays. So that's some of the stuff we're working a lot on. How to really get all the videos distributed to the right platforms and get them out there and distributed, but also to pull them back to your core experience on your websites and down the funnel of whatever marketing and communication activities you're doing. Another core element is the video play. We have a modern, beautiful HTML5 framework that allows any web developer to build amazing video players with actions, call to actions in the videos, designed to fit your brand and the experience you want with your users, even if the videos are embedded on a blog or somewhere else on the web. Video is also really about numbers these days. You can almost call video a science. So daily we see our users. Our customers and users optimizing the load to play ratio by changing the thumbnails of the videos. We see people re-editing the videos by looking at the play through of where people are dropping off in the videos. And we see a lot of continuous improvement on videos. Video today is a long way from being the old world where you put a file on a server somewhere and then you kind of forgot about it. Today it's a real science of web marketing and continuous improvement. And we're powering that with industry-leading analytics that lets you really engage and work on a daily basis with all these tools. It is really a feedback loop to see how you're doing and especially since videos is still early, it's really important to know what's actually performing and what works in what context. We brought it all together in this beautiful visual-centric UI that we actually started with many years ago. It still stands today. I had a guy visiting last week that said, oh, it's just still such an innovative UI. I didn't tell him how many years ago it was since we launched it. The core idea is these small visual objects that let you easily see what's going on. It's a very visual-centric UI. So it's kind of native to video, one could say. So that's a quick update on where we are with 23Video today. But obviously that's not really what we're going to do today. We're going to talk about what we're here to talk about today. What we're here to talk about today is the last untangled bit that we haven't taken on. The challenge still left undone. And that is live. Live is really one of these things that we've kept pushing attacking because there was no energy in it. The use cases were kind of boring and nothing much was happening. But recently and over the last five years, we've seen a lot of push and pull. We've seen a lot of personal, individual innovation in how people are using video. And it's our deep belief that that's now going to start hitting businesses and organizations. If we look at a little more kind of on the tectonic, the big shift, the paradigm shifts. We started out kind of with the web. We got the CMS, content management systems that empowered a lot of publishing online. All these text articles, thousands of articles on the website, information architecture, to make it all accessible. Then the area of social happened and really transformed everything. Even still in a kind of shift phase where organizations are still struggling to figure out what is it we do on social, what is it we do on our own platforms, how do we really work with this, even here in 2015. About five years ago, the era of video happened. And we think now we're entering a new era, which is live. When we look at live, the ability to really take a one-to-many experience and go live, like this presentation today, it is really profound and extremely interesting. It's real time. It's authentic. Every blooper you do is out there for life. It is really television, televising a physical experience over time and distance. It's also inherently very human and social, It's about the audience. I mean, you make your mistakes. It's not edited. It is live. It's obviously also visual. And as the core element of video, unlike normal video, it also has a great potential to be participatory and interactive. You can really have people watching engage, ask questions, chat, react to what's happening. It is a two-way medium. It's not only a broadcast medium or on-demand. So overall, we have the belief that digital haven't really hit events yet. Physical experiences, people in a meeting, people sitting down, have not really been hit by digital yet. It is actually the last outstanding area where every other type of communication and marketing has been profoundly changed the last 20 years. But we still run our physical events like we did before. We don't really put them in a context of digital. So what we are seeing now is two important things. One is that you take your existing physical events and add live to them. Suddenly, a presentation is not just a presentation for 40 people. It's a presentation for 400 people by adding a camera and a little bit of gear and live at 23 video. But we're also seeing whole new native online formats. Webinars, webcasts, or in this example, an iPhone doing a weekly show about new products. So the impact here is really that all your organizations do live every day already. You just haven't put the live to them. Every day you're meeting customers. You have events. You have meetings in your office. There's a lot of stuff going on. So it's just about putting it into the box of live. What is it we should actually put live on? But it's also seeing what are the really native formats where you have one or two persons in front of a camera with thousands of people watching on a webinar. Instead of a salesperson going out doing weekly calls, the salesperson sitting in front of a camera and really doing a two-way demo of a product or an experience and having that accessible to hundreds of people. And that is what digital is. That's what digital really at the core is about, right? It is the X. It is the scale that just suddenly changes things. We recently did a webinar that had 250 people on it. And we couldn't fit 250 people into our office. People didn't want croissants. They didn't need water. And we didn't need to rent a room, right? We just put somebody in front of a camera and they had a magnificent experience. It is really the scale that changes. So you might ask, if live is so great, why hasn't it happened? And that is a good question. So let me try to give you a couple of examples of why. Frontmost, this is live for you guys. Live has been this little player that was somewhere on a website. Sometimes you would buy it. Live has been something you as a communicator and marketer bought. You didn't do it. You weren't empowered to go live and do live yourself. It was something you bought. You bought from some people. You didn't really know anything about it. It was a black box. They supplied you with a little bit of code that you put on your website. And then you got this thing. Before the event, it was spinning around. Okay? There might be an event happening here at some time. At some point. Hopefully when the event was happening, it was actually playing. After the event, a lot of times it would start spinning again. So even though you had invested a lot of marketing in bringing people into that web page, people just came here and saw the spinning wheel again. So live has really been this black box that very few organizations and businesses have done. If they've been doing it, they've been doing it once a year. It is like video was 5-10 years ago, where people did one corporate video every year that they invested tens of thousands of dollars in doing. What we want to do is bring live to where video is today. That is something you just do. It's an everyday thing. It's something you do every week. It's something you use across your business and organization. It's not only something used for one thing. And that is what we're doing today. We're bringing live to 23 video. So there are huge issues in live that we really want to take on to empower you to make it just something you do. First of all is the basics of just doing a live stream. Just getting the video out there. So today we're bringing some profound tools to market that really changes that. First up, with one click, you can, on your webcam, go live. Instantly. Just sitting in front of the camera, your webinar is live. Doesn't take more than that from within 23 video. You can also use industry leading software tools like Wirecast that actually allows multi-camera production. $500. You can do amazing things with them. You can use unique hardware devices where you can download the configuration files in one click from 23 video. So you really quickly get up and running. So we've done a lot to make it really easy to do. Everyone here in the room, everyone watching can click one button and go live on your webcam instantly. Obviously you now and then might want to do more and then you scale up and do more higher end. But, you also now, all of you, have a broadband connected HD TV studio in your pockets. So we thought we wanted to do something about that also. So today we're shipping 23 live a powerful live streaming app that with one click allows you to go live from anywhere, anyone from anywhere. It's available in the app stores today. You pick the event you want to live stream to or create a new live event and you press one button and you're live. You then put your iPhone on a tripod and jack in a microphone and then you basically have what 10 years ago would have been a 1 million dollar OB truck and you all now have that in your pockets. It is really, really profound. But it hasn't hit businesses and organizations yet. Some people use this on an individual basis but what happens when all of your employees and staff have this in their pockets? Your sales person is somewhere in Europe visiting a customer. They go live for 10 minutes to shoot a little live stream about visiting that customer. At site, at the customer's office, your marketing staff is at a trade fair. They are there with their stand. An interesting person walks by. What do they do? They go live and interview the person and get some interesting industry character to give their opinion on the product. Or you are just having a jolly good time at the office and have a great idea that you want to test out and you just sit down two persons in front of the camera and start sharing and posting it to Twitter and Facebook, etc. This is now all possible. The barrier is really your imagination, your craft and your practice around being on camera. So that's first. Secondly, I At 23, we are all web people, right? We are about building web stuff. We believe in the web. We've been brought up on the web, some might even say. So, the problem of live has really been that little spinning player that you got. Then you put it in your CMS system somewhere. Just an empty page and a player. Okay, I want to start building something here. I want to market the event. I want to communicate what to expect. I want to sell the idea that people are going to join this event. I want to get them to sign up. During the event, I might want to do all these participatory things, interactive things, slides, chat, questions, etc. And after the event, and all the people I brought in there that keep revisiting that live event, I want to keep there and engage and get them to be able to play the video. So, with live in 23 video, we're coming with this very event-centric approach to live events. For us, live is not the technicality of a live stream. It is about the live event before. It is the countdown. It's the call for action on the event. It's the ability to really inform about what the event is all about. During the event, it's this highly engaging visual video playback experience. And after the event, it's really capturing all that happened. and clips from the event and all there was. All these tools are now in your hands. You don't need web people. You don't need video production guys. You can just do all this stuff and build these amazing event pages that really fit your purpose. We are shipping a couple of templates in the product today. But you obviously also have the full design engine of 23 video to really tweak it any way you want as a web professional or an agency to fit what you want to do with live. So it can fit your brand. It can fit the type of experience you want. And it can really fit into your overall communication and marketing objectives. So that's the event page. A really deep product to really build amazing event pages super fast. You can even do it in minutes if you use some of the built-in templates and tweak it as well. Next, we've been really looking at what's around the event. So before the event was really just a video stream. Now we also have all the communication around the event. But we also have all the stuff that happens in the event. We have the files that were needed to really understand what that event was about. We have the link to the product page that this event is actually about. We've built in some very powerful features in 23Video. Post and moments. Let me run them through. Post is what's beneath the video. It is all the components, all the small decks and cards that really capture all that goes on. With post, you can build up the excitement about the event. You can post links to products or additional information. You can post videos, obviously. And you can really work with social during the events to bring in Facebook, Twitter, Instagram feeds. So you can take in all the excitement and all the social media buzz there is about your event during the event. And afterwards, you can easily sum up the whole event and really bring it forward. Another key component is moments. This is a real innovation we're bringing to the market here. Moments is really about capturing the essence of the event. Every five seconds, we take a quick snapshot of the image in your video feed and make that available for you to easily add and annotate and add quotes or highlights to and push it to the event page and to social media. So suddenly the role of the communicator, the marketer, the social media manager during the event is to really capture all the highlights, all the great quotes, all the great images, all the speakers, all that happens and push that to all your channels during the event. But also afterwards because when you really have it here, you suddenly have this real experience of what the event is about. You really capture the essence of the event. So when people come back for on-demand play afterwards, they have an idea of what to expect. They have an idea of where to go next, where to buy the product, etc. They have all the information they need. So that's post and moments. Some very powerful tools to really capture the whole event and not only the live stream. Another element that we've seen that is really tough and existing tools haven't done basically nothing about is promotion. Because the challenge of live is that it is live. It is sort of the antidote to digital. The whole paradigm of digital is that it's on-demand. You can experience it whenever you want. Early morning, late night, it's always available. Live events really brings the science, the craft of event marketing and event communication to the web. So you really want them all in there when the event starts. You want them to be invited. You want the right experience all across. So we're shipping a couple of very powerful tools here. First of all, we've built in the capability to do email invitations from your existing tools. So you can easily do a mail blast out a week before the event or even 10 minutes before the event that we're about to go live. Also, if it's an ad hoc event that you just decided two hours ago that you wanted to do, you can super fast do some live marketing here and get everyone to know about it. You can also very quickly get your social invitations out and push them to all your social platforms using Post and Moments and some of the tools I've just shown you. But that's not all. We're also shipping a great feature that we call Live Banners. Because the problem with live is that it kind of goes out somewhere on your event page, on your video website somewhere. But how do people that actually come to your main website actually get to know about it? So we've built this amazing tool that allows you to easily control your main website actually. You put in a little bit of code. Just do it once. And then from within 23Video you can control the experience. Before the event, you can really market the event, get people to sign off for the event. During the event, we each five seconds show a new thumbnail, you get this real live experience, something is happening now. You can tweak the banner to have every size. You can basically take over your whole website while the event is happening. And after the event, you can easily make the recordings and the clips available for everyone for on demand. So this really allows you as a communicator and marketeer to from within the live event tool to control the overall experience around the promotion. Live banners can be totally tweaked and customized any way by web professionals and web designers so they can take any form and shape you want. And I think we'll see a lot of innovation where people put these banners in interesting places or ad networks, etc. Another thing we're working very hard with on promotion is retargeting. A lot of you have a lot of permissions on your remarketing on Google AdWords and other retargeting platforms. And we built in the capability with the live banners to very quickly, within minutes, go live, so that 20 minutes before your event, all the people you have in your remarketing base only see banners for this live event you're doing. It is this real science of going live with your marketing, even, one might say. And we're also working with real-time bidding services so that you can literally, for major events, get the whole web and reach a very big audience in very short periods of time to really bring in a lot of people for your event. Real-time bidding allows you basically to bid up and make sure that your banner is being seen those 10 minutes before the event happens so you can really build in and reach a wide audience very quickly with these promotion tools. So for us, promotion is called because why do all this stuff if nobody shows up, right? It's like, why do 23 video if nobody actually uses it, right? We get the energy and the excitement and the value out of people actually doing it. So we can't wait to see what people will do with all these promotion tools. Next up is recording and clips. As I said, we had this spinning player after the event. It was still spinning. A lot of people were arriving on that live event page because you actually had done some really good communication and marketing. People keep coming to it and they want to do something. What do they want to do? They obviously want to see the event, right? They want to see the recording of the event. A lot of you might know that this is where you would have the production team say, we're going to go back and process the recording and the video. We'll get it to you tomorrow. I've personally done a lot of events where it took three weeks before the videos ever showed up again because we're all tired from doing the actual event. So the issue here is really how do you make it very quickly accessible for people on demand the event you just had. So what we've done is that we built some amazing recording technology. Literally in seconds after your event is done, the video is available on demand. This is something that basically cuts down 20-30 hours of work sometimes. Imagine what events you would do on demand if it cost you 30 hours of work to actually do it. It might even be external paid hours. So with recording, you can easily in seconds get everything in there. So the days are over where your events are not accessible any longer. One of our early pilot customers had some very high profile technical speakers and they were amazed that when they stepped off stage, the video was already on Twitter, posted, playable, and there were already people giving the speaker feedback on his presentation. We're talking about something that the speaker couldn't even, it's like, he thought there had been a time shift or something, right? Because it is so profound this. It might seem simple to you, but this really changes everything because suddenly you can run marketing very quickly on those recordings and you actually get those recordings out there because that was the whole problem before that you actually never really got it done. Live is an amazing production format for doing video actually, right? It's a way of doing a lot of video and making it available on demand afterwards. But that's not all. We've also built some amazing clip tools because the next problem was that you had that 45 minute talk and there were five speakers and they were talking about different things and you really wanted to cut that video up and make it available as smaller clips. Once again, here, you would say, okay, let's take a meeting tomorrow, let's sit down and discuss how we edit the video and there would be some processing time and perhaps at some point then the video guys needed to upload the videos to somewhere that was also complicated most of the time if you're not using a proper tool, etc., etc., etc. Once again, you basically didn't get this done. So what we built is clips in 23 video. Just when the recording is done, these seconds after, in the browser in 23 video, you can on the timeline start defining all the clips you want. So that 45 minute talk is five minutes after the event is done. Five clips rightly titled for SEO and long term content marketing, nice thumbnails selected, click save and they're available afterwards. This really allows you to push the highlights of the event, all the individual talks, but it also allows you to actually get it done. It's not something you postpone for next week or whatever. It's a natural flow of doing an event that you define all the clips. Best practice here is obviously to do as many clips as possible if at all for SEO and for marketing purposes. So that's recording and clips. Some very simple tools, but very profound for changing how people actually work with live events and how to make it a part of the daily workflow. Last but not least is analytics. Video is all about numbers and we believe live events should also be all about numbers. So we built in some very powerful live analytics tools and they are actually live. They are real time and live. The tools really give you the feedback loop to understand what's happening with your events down to a very fine-grained level. You'll understand that most people don't, most of the viewers for your live event, don't arrive when the event actually starts because people are late. That might give you a feedback loop for what you're going to do the first couple of minutes of the presentation because you might want to just ittle a little bit and get it started, but you also don't want to throw them off, which you also can see in the tool if people after three minutes all left the event because they've didn't think it was relevant or engaging. So, live events is now all about return on investment and really tracking it. We're seeing amazing numbers, out of scale numbers and we're even still early here in terms of how people are doing it and the craft and the practice and how skilled people are. We're also seeing interesting statistics. For example, some of our early pilot customers are seeing 10x the amount of engagement on the on-demand version of the live event afterwards compared to the live event. That obviously makes sense, right? We are in a world where we are busy people and it's rarely that we can be there at the right time now and then. So, it's all about experiencing it afterwards. So, live analytics give you all these real-time tools for you to sit during the live stream, really understand what's going on and afterwards to really benchmark and improve on how you do your events, how you do the production, what kind of setup to have, and how to engage and promote. So, it really brings together everything here in terms of giving you the tools and the feedback loop to really know what to do. All of this is a lot of tools. It's a lot of technology. One might wonder how we make that really accessible and really easy to use. It's also a whole new craft that people haven't done before. It's not a lot of people that are really good at doing event production, really creating events, producing them. There's not a lot of people that are great at doing live video recording of those productions. So, it is really a new craft. So, we've been working really hard on creating a whole new user interface that would embody the craft of doing live events and make this accessible to every communicator and marketer, even if they don't have any previous knowledge about how to do events or live streaming. We call it a situation UI. It's a whole new UI concept, really based on really situating the usage and the patterns of how to use the product. It's not focused on the technical functionalities. It's focused on the craft and practice of what you need to do. It doesn't have technical buttons for posting to Facebook. It has buttons for doing an invitation or doing a reminder. So, it really embodies the craft of how you actually work the product. So, how about we show it to you? This is what it looks like. We have this gorgeous UI. One click to go live, one click to record. Very clear focus on your analytics. And then we have the situational UI that really captures the before, during, and after on both the information layer, the promotion layer, and the technical production layer. You have quick status here on what you have done, what you haven't done yet. You have quick indication of how much you've done. And it's a really powerful tool to really work your event. So, even if you haven't done it before, ever, you will have a really good sense and empowerment of how to do it. So, that's live in 23 video. It's a lot of work. And I think we might want to have a real good demo to actually show you how easy it actually is to set up an event, go live, and get going on everything. So, we've prepared a quick demo set up. So, I'll leave the stage for my co-founder of 23, Stefan Fagerström-Christensen. Thanks, Thomas. And I've brought Kelle along from the product development team to help us show you how 23 video works with live. So, live is about much more than just live video. Obviously, that's the crux of it. But it's also about what happens before the event, how you get an audience in, it's about what happens during the event, how you participate, how you engage the audience, and it's also about how you capture the value of a live event afterwards. So, a good example of that is our case customer, Kilroy. So, Kilroy is a Scandinavian travel agency. They do travel for 18 to 25 year olds. And they're using live to showcase webinars, to travel talks, and so on. This is a great example of a before page with a focus on when does this upcoming event take place, but also with a clear call to action to be notified when Kilroy goes live. Obviously, this page will change into the live page during the event, and afterwards it will turn into a page with all the clips and all the recordings and all the context of what went on during the live stream. So, let's show you how this works in 23 video and how we easily really is to do. So, we've created a new tab, and it's really easy to create a new live event. We'll continue with the example of Kilroy here, and just create a webinar for a road trip in the USA. And this can be a lot of different things. This can be for internal town halls, internal meetings, obviously for webinars and communication externally, investor relations, all the different things that you can go live with is really easy to set up here. And as you can see, we just continue with the example of creating a title, giving it a description, and also uploading a quick visual for the slide page that we're building. So, in a matter of a few seconds, we've essentially built a very simple, but also very effective before page for this event that's coming up in a few weeks. Very simple stuff, but already fitting with the example of Kilroy, already shareable, already giving a lot of the sense of the context of the event, even before it's happening. So, one of the biggest barriers to going live has always been the technical one. It's been a lot about hardware and cables and production setups and really something that we've all wanted to leave to the professionals. And that's something you can still do in 24 video. You can still go live from your TV studios, you can still go live with your hardware boxes and so on. But we also want to focus on making it easier to do so from your webcams, from your phones, from your computers and so on. So what I want to show you here is an example of how easy it is to go live. from your iPhone. Let's select iPhone from this list of streaming options. And we launched today a new app for 24 video that lets you go live directly from the phone. The cool thing as well is that we can very easily send out all the context about this event directly to the phone. So this is my phone number. And hopefully if everything works for us, I'll get an SMS here. With a simple link. And what happens now is that this link takes me directly to the app. With all the information. So no longer you have to worry about streaming endpoints and weird security stuff. Like this link will give me literally everything I need in order to go live with you guys. So that's a great example of something that we really wanted to make an intuitive flow. And you can really see how we actually went live. Oh, the people clapping is very nice. So you really get the sense of how easy you can go from just having an idea to setting up a page to going live from your phone in a matter of a few minutes. And you can already see in the back end here that we're live. But if we take a step back and just stop the live stream for a bit because we want to do a few more things before we're actually ready to go live to the wild, to the full world. Another thing that we kept hearing about was another kind of technical impediment to going live. It was all about networks and bandwidths and that kind of stuff. And we've heard from production partners that basically spend a full production day driving across the country in order to go somewhere to do a location test spend 10 minutes on checking the bandwidth in order to be able to make sure that they were able to go live from the location they were live from. So that's a bit of a waste of time. So we built in location tests directly into 23Video. It lets you run a location test directly from the browser but even better, you can send out this location test to somebody who happens to be on site already. A good example would be to send this to the reception desk at the venue you're at. You can send it to a co-worker in a different office. You can basically send it to a friend or somebody who is able to run this test for you. And what happens is that this person gets a link and that link is extremely simple. It has a button and people will click the button and just run the test for you. So this will take a bit because we do a thorough test so we check ping times and that all the ports are open uploads upstream and downstream bandwidth and essentially everything you need to know in order to be able to kind of kill this barrier and the insecurity of wanting to go live. And best of all, once this test is run, all of this information is fed back into 24 video immediately. So it means that in the back end, when you come back, you can see the results of the location test and say, hey, we're good to go live. So a very simple tool but also one that really lowers the barriers and saves days of time and adds a lot of security to when you want to go live. So, I've spoken a lot about what's going on in the player and in the production and we've added a lot of production options to the product. But what we really want to do here is build an event page. And we've added a lot of tools for that. We already went live with a title and description a photo and so on but let's add a few more things to the page. So the example here of just adding a date. So we're going live with our example webinar in a week. And when we've added a date we've set up the page to change. So the page will show a lot of new options allowing me to be notified when this event is in progress. I can add this to my calendar and hopefully in a bit it will also show us a countdown to when the event is happening. So, a very simple way of keeping building this page that gives us a lot of the sense of why I would be joining the event. We've also wanted to make it easy to take all the existing content whether that's on social media, on your web pages on your video sites and so on and pull that back into the event page to really sell what is going on. Like, why would people want to watch the event that I'm staging? A good example of this is posts. So posts let you take files, photos, videos, social media updates, links and whatever content you have and pull those directly into the event page to really set the context of what people can expect from a webinar. What's in the webinar, what might be previous clips from the webinar, what is the products that we're actually selling in the webinar, to really kind of pull in everything. A travel checklist for example, if that's interesting for the webinar that we're doing here. This is that for investor relations you might want to post the annual report, for internal meetings you might post minutes. So this is a really powerful tool to take everything that's going on around the event and really capture that context around the event page. So we have built an event page now. We've got titles, descriptions, photos, countdowns, posts and really set up this page that we want to invite people into. So we really have this sense of what is the event that people can partake in. And we've built a lot of tools for promoting as well. It's really easy to send out invitations via email, via phone. We've already pre-populated here with a few examples so it's really easy to send out an email blast inviting people to take part of this event. You can easily post it to social media. All the information that we already set up with photos and the context for the event is being posted automatically to Facebook, to Twitter, to Tumblr, to LinkedIn, to Google and really all of these social media tools that you're already using to promote and to market your content. We also heard from our beta customers that they want to be able to promote their events to existing customers, existing visitors to their webpages. So for that we built banners. Banners can be inserted very easily. It's just a matter of copy-pasting a piece of code that you do at once and you can insert that into any corporate website, into any blog, into any intranet and essentially very easily promote both upcoming events, current events and previous ones. So there's a lot of stuff you can do here with kind of customizing and really moving the banners, controlling whether you show a countdown, controlling whether people can sign up directly from the banners and in the context of Kira it might look something like this with the example of an upcoming event. So you get a lot of control of how people meet your event on social media, in email but also on your pages in a really simple fashion where you set it up once and then every time you run an event we'll automatically make sure that that event is promoted before the event to capture the audience, during the event to really bring people in and engage them and afterwards with clips and everything that went on during the event. So the live event is also about engaging people. It's really about engaging people and bringing them into the room and getting a sense of why you're interesting I guess and we built a lot of different tools for that. We've got real-time chat we can take questions from the audience, we've got slide synchronization and a lot of these other tools that really build around the event page. For this case we've just enabled chat and when we update the event page afterwards we can see that there's a small chat option. All of these tools are easily enabled and disabled so depending on which kind of event you're running you can really tweak how you want to engage people and what expectations you want to be setting. So one of my favorite examples of engagement is from the Danish Royal Theatre. So they are hosting a few times a year these ballet workshops and those ballet workshops are physically staged from a stage in Copenhagen and what they've done for the last half year is every time they've had one of these workshops they've gone live with it. So they've suddenly found this global audience of ballet geeks that suddenly have a way of participating directly in this event and being brought into this physical location in Copenhagen with different people around the globe and I think up to 500 or 1000 people chatting in the chat room and really asking questions of the directors and the performers. So a really simple example of an existing event that's being brought online and is finding a new audience. Another example of some of the engagement tools that we've built is slide synchronization. So this example is from the Norwegian government and they're going live multiple times every week with seminars and workshops and with press briefings and almost for all of them they're pushing out the slides from the event directly into the live stream. And the really cool thing about this is that once you've done so, we're able to record all the slides and really make a really compelling after experience afterwards. So it means that recordings can then be browsed using the slides as well. So a lot of different tools to really capture everything that's going on around the event and really stage the event that you want to be staging. So I think that's kind of what I wanted to show you guys about the before page. You can see there's a lot of tools that you can kind of pick and choose from to build the perfect event. And... Somebody stop my stream. Yeah, I know. So I need to go live again here. Maybe. Wi-Fi is bad. Can you do a webcam thing? So, very ad hoc, we can also show you you can stream from a webcam. It's very easy. You click start streaming, you enable your camera and hopefully it'll go live. Okay. So we're live again. And we can start recording whatever's going on in the stream. And obviously again the event page changes into live mode and now that we're live we want to capture all the audience and all the interest that we already built by sending out notifications to people. So all the people already signed up will get notifications now and be asked to come back to the page. Obviously if they've added to their calendars they'll already have received the notification. You can promote this event. You can also be on social media as well with everything that's going on around the event. We've also built something called Moments. And Moments is really about a new way of capturing whatever's going on directly in the stream and making that part of the event page as well. So we're able to basically grab a lot of the that's an awesome photo We're able to grab everything that's going on in the stream. Every few seconds we'll grab an image and we're able to post that to the event page to really capture what is going on. And this is also very good for the event page afterwards because all of this is really setting the stage of the event that you're running. Even better though, all of these are shareable on social media as well. So it means that obviously all of this is available on the event page but I can also take the Moments and bring them into Twitter and to Facebook and so on. And the really cool thing about that is this actually gives you a whole new way of promoting your content while you're live. Because before you would just send out to Facebook and say I'm live now, please come join our event. What is possible now is that you can keep updating with all the highlights all the Moments, all the Speakers and essentially everything that's going on in the event as it's going on live in a very easy way that actually brings stuff into Facebook and into Twitter and so on. So again a very simple tool but also something that puts the craft of doing live and managing the live event directly into the hands of the web people that are running it. So I think that's it for the during mode. You can see how you can start engaging people again with questions with chat and a lot of these other tools and how you can use Moments for the purpose. So if we stop our recording and we stop our live stream we'll actually see that now we can start to do clipping for a bit. And we've captured a lot of the best practices of all of this stuff as well into the after page. So we already built a nice looking page. We've recorded everything from the servers and you can see that there's a recording that has already come into the page. And now we can actually modify this recording and make it perfect. So we can cut off the beginning and the end of it. And even better we can take all of this context and we can repurpose it for many different cases. So if we're doing a webinar we can make a clip of it that makes it clear how to get a visa to the US, how to travel in the different hosts and really do different cuts and editings of the event. And obviously if you're doing a longer full day event and have multiple speakers it's really easy to make that available as well. So one of my favorite examples of how this can be done is from the Swedish Teachers Union. So what they're running is everything from webinars and seminars over to kind of big conferences and big events. So this is an example of an event page from a four day event in the fall. And I really like how they've captured not only a single recording of the event itself but really captured all the people on stage, everything that happened, all the workshops, all the seminars and all the talks in a way that really presents this congress in a very different way. And it's a really easy way of seeing how all the tools that we've built is making stuff much more available in a whole new and different way. So I think that's it. We've essentially built a lot of the context around this webinar example that we've done. We've brought in an audience, we've invited them, we've engaged them with chat, with questions and so on. We've gone live and we've brought the event both online and offline. We've clicked and we've made this final event page. And we can obviously use some of the same tools that we've just done to send out summaries, to do new posts on the event page but also to share this on social media. So you can see how this situation with the UI really comes in handy for kind of encapsulating and summarizing the craft of what you do before an event, during an event and after an event. So that's it. That's essentially how we've built live and 24 video. And all of this fits perfectly with all the tools that is already in the product. So it's all the tools of how to work with clips, how to work with analytics, how to work with security, how to work with design and how to work with players. All of this is available for live and available today. Thank you Stefan. Thank you Stefan. It really is easy, right? Even when the internet is a little patchy here and there. So if you log in, if you're an existing customer, the tools are out there today. And if you're curious, you can go and sign up and play around with everything right away. So, at 23, we believe in building the most powerful tools. What we've just shown is a breakthrough in live event production tools. There's never been anything like it. So you might want to imagine then that we wanted to make it really expensive to capture all the value. But at 23, we really believe in empowering you with the best tools as communicators and marketers. So we're bringing live and 23 video to the market at $199 per month on top of your existing 23 video subscription. If you have a lot of video websites and are a big company and have a lot of usage for live, there are also enterprise price plans available. So we're taking this down to a price level where this is something you can really just be working on on a continuous basis. It's just part of your marketing palette. It's part of the tools you have to do your craft. How about that? So the last two years we've been working with over 40 pilot customers. Really deep customer driven development. We've been seeing what they've been seeing. We did our first beta live stream with 15,000 people live two years ago. Just to start from there. And we've been developing ever since. So we're launching today and I'm happy to announce that we already have over 40 customers using this product at the day of the launch. And we're already excited about all the stuff they're doing with it and we're really learning every day on how to improve it and how to really take it even further. I have a little film for you that shows what four of these pilot launch customers are doing. So I'll play it for you. Here to see how they really have gone live already. With our live streaming activities we've seen that we can actually triple our audience. My name is Lesen. I work for Kilroy International. We are a travel agency and a student abroad, or study abroad agency. We help students fulfill their dreams and explore life. Once in a while we also do talks, travel talks, educational evenings. And that's a great success because that's where we meet the customers face to face. That's where we really can have an open dialogue. They'll be able to come back to us and we'll have a sale from that event. And that's where we have requests from customers asking us all the time, why can't you come to my city to have a presentation or a travel evening, whatever it is. And of course that's a challenge for us. And that's where we see potential in this new solution from 23. And that's live streaming. All these people are worth a lot of money to our business. So whenever we can triple that number, it's all worth it. That's really what we have been looking for for a couple of years. And since it's such an easy and simple solution then this is the thing that we've been looking for all the time. Hi, my name is Johan Tubesson. I work at Läraförbundet, the Swedish Teachers Union. We're the largest organization for Swedish teachers and we work a lot with video and film. From 2013 to 2014 we had growth in viewers of over 200%. And we can see now that the growth continues. Today our audience expects the possibility to take part in live events. That's why we want to be in the forefront using 23 to go live. With live people can also participate. They can talk to us with Twitter or chat during our live event. A live event has a very long lifetime. We can see that events broadcasted two, three years ago still has a great audience. A live stream on 23 is automatically recorded and is available directly to watch after the live event. This gives us time to focus on doing a great job on communicating the event before and after instead of spending a lot of time with technical stuff. Before we had to use different kinds of platforms to get both live and on demand. But now we can get it all at the same time on 23 video. One thing that is really exciting is the possibility to use mobile devices to go live on the web. It's just two clicks away to broadcast from anywhere we want. We want to be a modern union and we want to communicate in modern ways. For the past year we've been experimenting more and more with live streaming of video content to show what we're doing on our stages. My name is Peter Schaffers. I'm head of digital media at the Royal Danish Theatre. We have viewers not only in Denmark but also in the United States, Finland, Sweden, wherever. Typically we have like 800-900 viewers and a lot of comments and questions online. One of the things that are important to us is to be able to show what we do to all of Denmark. As the National Theatre of Denmark we want to reach everybody, not just the people close to us in Copenhagen but also people in Jutland. We also like to engage our customers more to interact with them. Through a live stream we're able to actually interact with the people sitting at their computers. They can ask us questions, we can answer them, we can offer tidbits, more information about what's going on on stage. Something that's not necessarily easy to do in the actual theatre. The benefit for us in using 23Video for live streams is that we have full control over the user experience. We can control the design, the comments, all the features that we implement. And it's super easy to create and execute a live event. And that gives us a whole new way of interacting and engaging our customers. We live stream through 23Video and that has made our lives quite a lot easier. Hi, my name is Kasper Borg. I'm a communications advisor and journalist at Aarhus University Hospital. We are a large organization. We are 10,000 employees. We can't be on the same place on the same time. every single one of us. Live production can be very demanding. And we don't have the manpower to facilitate every production needed. And therefore it's rather exciting that it can actually be reduced to a phone like this when you just press broadcast and now I'm actually broadcasting live. That is an exciting development that we hopefully will see all our colleagues taking benefit of in the near future. We have seen some surprising results from our live streaming. Recently we did a live surgery a woman being operated for breast cancer being broadcast live. 55 hours of engagement on that surgery alone. Another test we did was an internal meeting all hands meeting where we have 270 hours of engagement on that one meeting. And that's only the live numbers. In a big and complex organization as ours live streaming and recording of events is key in the future. So that was a few of the early pilot customers that already have gotten access to live in the industry. We are really excited about it and can't wait to see what all of you will do. Next is partners. As you have seen we have made it really easy to do it. We believe in a world where you are not buying live streaming but you are doing live streaming. But there are also people that have done live streaming for 15 years. There are people that have done live video production their whole lives. So there is a lot still to learn from. To teach to being taught on how to actually do it on a daily basis. To be used for high end production where you actually might want to have somebody that really have the skills to do it. And have been in situations where the internet connection isn't working while the CEO is on the stage and all that stuff. Which can be tough. So we have been working with a big part of our partner base and are happy to announce that we are working with 12 launch partners. Media unit, We Love Video, Baby, Cope, Mayday Film, Video for Web, Display, Shoot Happens, CpH Live, Creuna, Comfo, Media Mirror and Open. All of them are experts in their field. Ranging from video production, video strategy, content strategy, content marketing, internal communication, digital strategy and web at large. We will be working with these 12 partners the next 4 months to really bring live out there into all their areas and to really work on exploring the craft and practices around live together with these professionals. So I have a little film with Renee from Mayday Film and Thomas from Display just shortly highlighting why they are working with 23 and why they are so excited about 23 video. Highlighting especially Renee who has been doing TV and video for the last 20 years here. Everything that is related to live is so important because it's the one thing where you can be part of something that takes place now. My name is Renee Schuerbach and I am the CEO of Mayday Film here in Denmark and I've been in the business now for quite a while. It looks on my face. We started out as a traditional film and television production company some 27 years ago. But we have been in the forefront also of especially video on internet and online media for the past 7 years. Today 23 is presenting a new fabulous product or possibility for live transmission. And you have to realize that doing anything live up until now has been extremely difficult. You have to consider all the technology involved. You have to consider all the things that can go wrong. And you can never just, hey let's do it again. Take two. It's not possible. And for that reason I would say that what 23 has presented what I've seen is a product and a solution that takes quite a lot of all the fuss out of doing anything live. Makes it a little more simple. And I like the dashboard. The way it looks. The overview is good and I think it's going to be very strong. And I'm looking forward to work with it personally. And the great thing about doing something live is that people have a tendency to only look at the live element and say we're going to do something on Thursday. But that's just a part of it. It's the pre-live and actually the post-live of the event that is equally important. So having a live event and making it a live big live event will enable you to communicate for a long, long period. You can build up, you can execute and you can have the afterlife. Here at Display we often help our clients with their content strategy and the whole live aspect live video aspect has been out of reach to be honest for mostly of our clients. Before this product from 23, the whole live product they implemented into the 23 platform is a great opportunity. And for me it's an opportunity that's now out there that hasn't been there before. Suddenly come within reach that I can be my own TV station basically. I'm Thomas, Digital Director at Display. Display is a digital agency here in Denmark. We're based in Copenhagen and Aarhus. One of the biggest in Denmark. We are around 80 people now and we're working with a lot of different clients in Denmark. Working with the digital strategy implementation and the whole creative part. I think the live in 23 is a small revolution because there's possibilities in this that I haven't seen before. I work with video for live video also for like 10-15 years and 10 years ago it was all about technology. I mean it was hard to get the live streams out there and I think with the 23 live platform today it's more about interaction. It's all about interaction. So it's less about technology and it's more about how can we actually engage with our customers. How can we actually add value on top of the live stream and make sure that we can use it as a strong push and pull marketing tool today. We want your email basically. Music Music Music Music Music Thanks Rene and thanks Thomas. We're especially happy that we've seen so many production companies really seeing that the times they are changing and instead of just being defensive they're really adopting and working with this new world where a lot of their clients will also be doing live video and video themselves but there's a new role for the production agencies. It has been a long way coming but we've really seen here with the launch partners that there has been a fundamental shift. So really engage with them and work with them because they have a lot of knowledge to bring in. So that was live in 23 video. We've brought some extremely powerful tools to the product. We are changing how easy it is to do live streaming and we're really building the marketer and communicators version of live. We can't wait to see what you all will do with it. We live off the energy of everyday being amazed of what you guys are doing. And already today we have a lot of live streams everyday, a lot of live events and a lot of stuff happening. So we can't wait to be working with all of you on bringing it forward. It's now in your hands. It's not a black box any longer. It's just up to you to actually get started and get going. So thank you. I think we should, let's get the whole 23 team up here because there's been a lot of long nights to get all this going and it's been a real big team effort. So we wanted to show you all the people. That have been involved. Luca, Peter, Sapa, Maria, Teddy. Oh, a lot of people. Give them a big hand. And also to Henrik and Anders in all rooms. Great. Thank you. Well that closes our keynote. All businesses and organizations can now go live. What are you going to go live with? Below the video on the event page we've assembled more info and all the buzz from Twitter, Instagram and Facebook. Read more and get a free trial or demo on the event page. But it doesn't end there. We've got more about live today for you. At 1pm today we'll be back at the 23 house in Copenhagen with our live festival. A half day conference with three stages, 25 speakers, in-depth cases, demos, content marketing and a lot more. Tune back in from 1-5pm on the website and there's a link below the page. Thank you. I also hope you got the idea that the event really changes when it's actually just a studio recording. It is kind of Vietnam. That's also new crap. We're still making it authentic and a real occasion. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
